Biography:
• Became the first player in professional baseball history to steal first base on Saturday 7/13, donated his historic cleats to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum on 8/3, and after a pregame ceremony celebrating his Cooperstown bound cleats he went 4/4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored
Previous Career:
• Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 3rd round of the 2007 MLB June Amateur Draft from Florida State University (Tallahassee, FL)
• Played four seasons in the Cubs organization before spending the next three seasons with the Boston Red Sox organization where he reached as high as AAA Pawtucket, went on to play for three other organizations at the AA level
• Has hit 10+ home runs in each of the past eight seasons, has set career highs in each of his last two seasons, 18 in 2017, 25 in 2018
