(Waldorf, MD) The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball has released the 2025 championship season schedule. For the first time since 2017, the league will return the same members as the previous season. The Long Island Ducks, Staten Island FerryHawks, York Revolution, Lancaster Stormers, and Hagerstown Flying Boxcars will make up the North Division, with the Blue Crabs, Gastonia Baseball Club, High Point Rockers, Charleston Dirty Birds, and Lexington Legends making up the South Division.
Southern Maryland will open up the 2025 season at home on Friday, April 25th against the High Point Rockers, followed by a home and home series with the defending Southern Division Champion Charleston Dirty Birds. Other schedule highlights include a home game on Thursday, July 3rd versus the rival Hagerstown Flying Boxcars. The Blue Crabs will once again play a Father’s Day matinee on June 15th against Lexington. The 2025 home season will wrap up on Sunday, September 14th in another tilt with the Legends.
The 2025 slate includes 21 matchups with each of the division opponents, 12 games with rival Hagerstown, 9 showdowns with former foes Lancaster and York, and 6 games each with Long Island and Staten Island. The Blue Crabs will host 11 weekend series, and 10 weekday series, for a total of 63 home games.
“It’s exciting to have every team visit Regency Furniture Stadium in 2025. The Blue Crabs look forward to having our beloved fans back for an opening Friday night, as well as a huge kickoff to Independence Day weekend” said Southern Maryland GM Courtney Knichel.
Next year’s league schedule features 126 games, with each team visiting each stadium at least once. Mondays continue to be the league-wide off day.
