The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs fell to the Long Island Ducks in game two by a score of 7-4.
Long Island struck first with a four-run third inning, before Southern Maryland answered back in the fourth. Giovanni Digiacomo knocked in Alejandro De Aza with an RBI single. Brett Barrera got in on the action with a one-run single before Sam Dexter singled in John Taylor to cut the Ducks lead to 4-3.
Long Island tacked on another in the fourth and sixth to extend the lead to 6-3 before Alejandro De Aza cranked a solo blast to make it 6-4.
Long Island scored in the seventh inning, further improving their lead to 7-4.
After falling to 17-18 overall, the Blue Crabs will look to salvage the series on Thursday night in Long Island.
