Baylor was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round of the 2019 draft out of Benedictine College Prep in Richmond, Virginia. Baylor reached High-A with the Phils, playing every infield position with the organization. In 2021 in Rookie and Single-A, he batted .269 with five home runs and 21 RBIs with an .821 OPS. He showed more pop in Clearwater hitting six more bombs and drove in 28 with 22 steals. In May of 2023, he was involved in a cash deal to the Colorado Rockies, where he hit .333 in Single-A Fresno, blasting 7 homers in 33 games as well. Last season, Baylor started with the York Revolution but only played 15 games for them before having his contract purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays Organization. Baylor played 33 games after being signed in High-A. In York, Baylor hit .255, three home runs and 12 RBIs. This will be Baylor’s sixth professional season and first with the Blue Crabs.
