Corey attended his first MLB game in August of 1999 when he was 9 years old. He fell in love with Fenway park and the field first before the game. He has had many opportunities in sports. He was given at age 10 a how to guide head groundskeeper book “Picture Perfect” by David R.Mellor, the head grounds keeper for Fenway park and the Boston Red Sox for over 30 years and he still has the book to this day! His dream has always been to work in baseball and to be the guy who runs a professional field. He has been a game day employee, seasonal, and intern. He worked with the Somerset Patriots as assistant head groundskeeper in the Atlantic league for many seasons and returned a couple years ago when they became double A team for the Yankees. He worked with Staten Island Yankees as assistant head groundskeeper and worked the Atlantic League All Star game in 2017. Corey is a Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Buccaneers fan! It took ten years to finally get the call to be the Head groundskeeper. Never give up on your dreams. There’s Something about green grass and baseball that was always his calling.
