Waldorf, MD – In the midst of a playoff push, the Blue Crabs have announced that they have traded for the rights of the American Association Pitcher of Year, Mitchell Lambson, as well as Kevin McGovern from the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
Lancaster, PA. – The Blue Crabs took a season best three game win streak into the second of a three game set with the Lancaster Barnstomers on Saturday night. In what was one of the longest games of the season despite being called due to rain during the seventh inning stretch, the Barnstormers bats uncorked in route to defeating Southern Maryland by a score of 14-4.
Waldorf, MD. – Fresh off back-to-back check marks in the W column, Southern Maryland kept the winning streak going in the first of a six game road stand. Tonight’s 3-2 win over the Lancaster Barnstormers means that the Blue Crabs have nearly a third of their wins on the season during this win streak.
In the final game of a seven game homestand, and a series finale with the High Point Rockers, Southern Maryland continued their efforts to climb back into this series. The Blue Crabs capped off the series with a win, the second in as many nights to split the four game set with High Point.
