Bio:

Jack Sundberg returns for his second season with the Blue Crabs. Last season, Sundberg took a little bit of time to leave his name in the record books for the organization, setting new marks for walks (85), stolen bases (45), and on-base streak (34 games).

In high school, Sundberg was a three-sport athlete playing football, basketball, and baseball. He was awarded the Jennings and Murray Cups as he was recognized as the best Junior and Senior athlete. He was the team captain of the baseball, football, and basketball team in 2012 while also capturing the MVP award for both the football and basketball team. He was also recognized as an All-New England Class A football player and was an honorable mention in basketball.

Sundberg did not have to go very far when he went to the college level, as he attended UCONN. As a Husky, he would move to second in career stolen bases (82). Sundberg led the AAC in Runs scored (53) and walks (45), he was also named to the AAC All-Conference team twice. He was the lead-off hitter for the Huskies.  In the 2016 MLB Amateur draft, Sundberg was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 26th round.

In the minor leagues with the Nationals, he spent most of his time in High-A with the Potomac Nationals. In 2017, he posted a .277 batting average, finishing with 109 hits and 52 walks. He stayed with the organization for two more seasons, in 2021, he signed with the New York Boulders in the Frontier League. His final stat line included a .405 OBP, 48 stolen bases, and had walked more than he struck out.

In his first season with the Blue Crabs, Sundberg would become an everyday outfielder, as he would only miss 16 games out of the 131. Sundberg did not slow down when the postseason started, as he got seven hits in five games against Lancaster. He could also add versatility to the outfield as he played in all three positions; at the end of the season, Sundberg had a .986 fielding percentage.
