Ian Kahaloa is a 25-year-old right-handed pitcher from Ewa Beach, Hawaii. The flamethrower was listed as the number one prospect from his home state, the Cincinnati Reds drafted the right-handed right out of high school. After pitching the second half of a minor league season, his numbers impressed scouts enough to get him on the top 30 prospects in the Reds farm system.
Kahaloa was previously with the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League, and last year was with the Boise Hawks and the Grand Junction Rockies of the Pioneer League. He was the strikeout champion of the Pioneer League when he fanned 102 hitters and also won the league championship.
